Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The challenge starts in April 2016 by completing 3 marathons in 3 weeks under 3 hours. Paris, Brighton and London. I have only ever done sub-3 hours a few times in the past and never in consecutive weeks like this.

Hopefully, this is good preparation for taking on the world's best triathletes in Hawaii this October.
I have never competed in the World Ironman Championships before and I am dedicating this effort to a dear friend who has Alzheimer's Disease. Every penny donated will go to the Alzheimer's Society as I am paying for all race entries, travel, accommodation etc.
There will be further preparation races at Lanzarote 140.6 Ironman in May, Weymouth 70.3 Ironman in September and Tenby 140.6 Ironman in September.

A full Ironman Triathlon consists of 140.6 miles. 2.4 mile swim then 112 mile cycle then 26.2 mile (marathon) run. This all has to be completed within 17 hours without a break. Hawaii has extreme heat and humidity plus high winds.
