Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi All! I've taken inspiration from the recent run, donate & nominate 5 for Craig' Heartstrong & want to do some more for a great cause!

As most people who know me know I don't run & are much more likely to be found in the Manxy with a pint in my hand! I think the last time I ran properly was when I was around 20 & since then have probably only ran to catch the last bus home!

I plan on over the next 11 months running 1,184 KM (32*37). When you break this down it may not sound like a lot to some of my fitter mates who still play footy etc - but to someone who has not ran in a long time it's a fair distance!

I'm doing this challenge in memory of my two cousins, Katrina (32) & Cheryl (37) who sadly both passed in their sleep due to heart conditions which were not detected & with active screening which Craig's Heartstrong provides free of charge regularly to our young could possibly have been prevented!

Katrina & Cheryl both moved to the UK when young with my Auntie (Viv!) & I can only imagine how amazing they would have dealt with the current pandemic going on there in their respective fields (primary school & nurse).

Please give what you can, it may save a life of a local young one.

I'll update my progress monthly on Facebook (not to bore everyone with I ran this today posts!) & on here if I can..

Cheers,

James
