Story

Dear All,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Before turning the big 3-0 I thought I should set myself a challenge, so I’m running the Adidas Silverstone Half-Marathon in March. I’ve never done anything like this before, so fingers crossed I can make it through 13.1 miles!! I thought I would also try and raise some money in the process, so I am running for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, a fantastic charity.

Sadly, 46,000 women (and men) are diagnosed with Breast Cancer every year making it the most common form of Cancer. The sponsorship that I raise will help save lives. Breakthrough is a pioneering charity dedicated to the prevention, treatment and ultimate eradication of Breast Cancer for good.

On a more personal note this is a cause that is very close to my heart; both of my grandmothers have suffered from breast cancer. Sadly one is not with us today, but I hope to make them both proud and raise as much money as possible for Breakthrough. Nana Bridgen and Nana Collier, this is for you.

So please dig deep for this worthwhile cause, however big or small your donation, every penny really does count.

I thank you very much in advance for your support.....

Much love

James xx
