Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.

Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers is a crucial service for asylum seekers in Southwark, south London. The charity was founded in 1996 and since then has provided advice, support and training to asylum seekers and refugees who fled some of the world's worst conflicts.

I'm running the 2021 London Marathon as one of the Mayor of Southwark's charity runners. Each year the Mayor chooses a charity to raise money for, and SDCAS is the charity chosen by this year's Mayor, Cllr Barrie Hargrove.

It remains too early to tell whether this effort to run 26.2 miles is ambitious or simply foolhardy. But I'm training as much as I can, and will be giving it my all on 3rd October. Any donation, however large or small, will be really gratefully received.
