Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page...

"Anything can happen to anybody. What you really have to do is just live your life to the fullest. Have no regrets. Don't take anything for granted because you never know," quoted by Peter following his first heart failure in 2011.

Peter Chi, a close friend and fellow University of Hawaii 'Ohana' (family) member of mine died on the 6th October 2012 from Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome. Peter was taken too early - he died just 2 weeks short of his 20th birthday.

Peter's aim in life was to become a doctor.

Peter was the type of person you would go to to brighten up your day. No matter what he said, he was funny, happy and did his best to make everyone else have a better day.

Peter is an inspiration to all, he knew of his condition (following the first incident a year previous) but he lived each day to the fullest and achieved so many of his goals. He was loved by everyone. He had no enemies, treated everyone the same, Peter was just a great role model.

In rememberance of Peter Chi I am raising money for SADS UK. Sudden Arrhythmatic Death Syndrome highlights the fact that young people and even children can be affected by potentially fatal cardiac conditions. I aim to complete triathlons and challenging bike rides and swims to help spread awareness and help others.

By donating to SADS UK you are helping in so many different ways. You help support research into SADS, prevent the loss of life through Sudden Cardiac Deaths, help support current sufferers, help support families and friends who have lost someone close to them, support pathology, and lastly help place defibrillators into communities and place heart monitoring systems into surgeries and hospitals.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks for your time,

James
