Story
I’ve just tackled my first marathon in Manchester - probably the biggest challenge of my whole life so far.
I finished in 4:00:34, and my watch measured 26.4 miles so I like to think I covered the 26.2 in less than four hours!
I wasn't originally planning to ask for charity donations this time around, even though Bowel Cancer UK would have been my first choice as I lost my dear mother-in-law to bowel cancer in 2012.
However, my granddad recently died of the disease, reminding me how important it is to keep funding the great work carried out by Bowel Cancer UK.
Any donations will go straight to the charity and will be put to work in the ongoing mission to stop people dying of bowel cancer.
Whatever you might give will be massively appreciated by them and by me.
Thank you, James.
