Story
Hello everyone. On Sunday 1st November at Nuffield Health Club in Letchworth, we are attempting to break the World Record for an Indoor Pool-based Sprint Distance Triathlon!
This involves a 400m pool swim, then 20km (12.5 miles) on a static bike, then running 5km (3.1 miles) on a treadmill.
The record to beat set by Guinness is 57 minutes for Jake and 1hour 18 mins for Emily. We training like trojans so that We can put ourselves in the best position possible to do it justice. To beat the times we have to swim, cycle and run faster than We have done before in all three areas, but we promise we are dedicating our time and efforts to doing so, as we want to raise as much money as possible towards Garden House Hospice Care, and what better way to do so by setting a world record in the process!
To date we have set new PB’s in all three disciplines, but putting them together to replicate that form will be a huge challenge.
In these challenging times, the hospice needs every penny that we can raise.
If you can spare any change whatsoever, to go towards this grand adventure, then please do so, as every penny we raise will be helping the patients and families of those we serve in our community.
Thank you :-)
