Story
Vista is the leading local sight loss charity in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
They have been fantastic for support for my beautiful daughter and I ever since she was diagnosed with septo Optic dysplasia/optic nerve hypoplasia and nystagmus at aged 6 months. She was registered severely visually impaired/blind that same day and I was told that she would never have full vision. Since then, VISTA have been amazing. They have provided Lumen with a special cane, supported us with her mobility, and been able to advise me on multiple things.
But recently they have had their Funding cut which means that there will be cuts for the children. This includes days out and activities which is a huge thing for the children when it comes to socialising and boosting their confidence. They also do things such as teaching the children to cook etc.
I want to raise money so that VISTA can try to carry on helping the way that they do without worrying that they don’t have the funding.
There will be a bouncy castle for the children, raffle prizes, a bake sale, facepainting and more. ALL PROCEEDS will be going to vista. Tickets for the event are £2 per person but if you can’t attend then I would be eternally grateful for a donation. Thank you so much ❤️
(Message me with your address once you have paid and I will post out your tickets)
Event to take place at 2pm on Sunday 19th August at Friar lane football club, Whittier road, Leicester, LE2 6FT
