DIARY DATE... 27th April 2019
EVENT..... Strictly Learn To Dance 2019
In aid of St Luke's Hospice Cheshire
As many of my fellow dancers, family and friends, In fact just all the people that I know are aware that dancing is my tonic.
For me dance has a wonderful freedom of expression without words along with music it has great power and strength.
As a little girl I dreamt of dancing. While all the girls around me wanted to become an Air Hostess, a Hair Dresser or a Nurse, I wanted to become a dancer.
However I did not. I got married and had a beautiful healthy family and my dreams of dance lay dormant for many many years.
As a much older adult with my children grown and I was no longer married my dream of dancing resurfaced.
Should I learn to dance or not
WELL I DID.
I began my journey learning to Salsa followed by a little Ballroom, then Modern Jive. It has been and still is a great pleasure to dance.
I am both really really excited to be taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing Competition for St Luke's (Cheshire) Hospice 2019.
A FANTASTIC CAUSE.
And terrified to know that I will have to dance in front of an audience and will be judged (what have I done).
It is such an honour and a privallge to have this opportunity to dance with amazingly talented and gifted dancers. I know that I will never become a professional dancer or dance any where near as well, but for just a little while I HAVE MY DREAM and I feel like the luckiest person alive as I absolutely love to dance.
I would like to know if maybe I got the dancing gene from my mum or my dad, but sadly my mum died of cancer when she was just 27 years old and my dad died of lung cancer a little over 20 years later.
The work that St Luke's has done and continues to do is PRICELESS Supporting so many people that we know personally and put in our communities.
PLEASE can you help me to raise some money for this cause that I feel so passionate about to help them to continue their Brilliant work.
If you could sponsor me as much or as little as you can I would be eternally grateful, every single penny counts going towards helping someone somewhere.
THANK YOU with all my heart

Since 1988, St Luke’s has been providing palliative care to local people, supporting them in ways which go beyond the scope and funding of the NHS. Last year we supported over 1,000 local people with a huge range of support from end of life care on our ward to supporting carers, and from helping children cope with grief to helping patients return to work after an illness. We are a charity and provide all our care for free, so we rely on the generosity and commitment of our supporters to raise more than 80% of our costs.
