Story

When I started this trek for tomorrow challenge my fundraising total was £21,990 so it would be brilliant to raise another £1000.to take it to £23,000.

Thank you for your support x

I've been touched by cancer so much in recent years personally and via close friends and family. I want to support Cancer Research Wales in thier quest to determine the causes, promote early diagnosis, and ensure quality of life treatment choices when it occurs. Their research and findings are shared nationally and internationally.

I raise funds via walking events January 2010 Kilimanjaro; May 2012 Everest Base Camp; March 2016 52 miles Sahara Desert;  May 2017 Wall of China and in Sept 2018 I walked Machu Picchu.

My 'adventures' are always completely self funded so all monies kindly donated go direct to CRW.

I'm really missing trekking so when the Trek for Tomorrow popped up on my FB page I was inspired to continue my Zapp The F**ker mission espcially as it coincided with the heart breaking news that my friend Harriet the Hat had passed aged just 44 after many years determinedly fighting cancer on every front. When I had my brush with cancer 8 years ago Harriet and her Mum Jean supported and reassured me, we were all so  devastated when  Harriet's cancer returned 6 years ago.

So this challenge, and it will be a huge challenge to me to walk 18 miles in a day, is in special memory of a wonderful woman Harriet Dow.
