Story
I know that keeping physically and mentally fit is a step towards keeping Alzheimer's at bay.
Over the last couple of years I have set myself physical challenges which have really pushed me so far out of my comfort zone it has surprised me e.g London Winter 10K and climbing Snowdon on the hottest day of the year!
As a family we have first hand experience of early Alzheimers as my lovely mum was diagnosed a while ago.
My sister says " It's like standing at the entrance to a long dark tunnel and watching Mum drift away from us down the tunnel"
On Saturday 30th April I will be setting off (at silly o'clock in the morning) with my trusty Airborne Team to conquer the Yorkshire Three Peaks in 12 hours, 40 kms 12 hours! At the young age of 56 I am fitter than I have been since my 20s but this will be a challenge. Suffolk is very flat and we have hunted far and wide for hills to use in our training.
Please donate whatever you can and if you can't donate please share my page.
This one is for you Mum! xxx
