Story
As some of you may know, my Mum was diagnosed with cancer in November last year and started treatment at Cheltenham General just after Christmas. Everyday for 6 weeks she underwent radio- and chemotherapy with such bravery where the accumulative stress of these treatments resulted in a long and slow recovery process of both the body and the mind.
Luckily she was given a space at the Cotswold Care Hospice to help with post-treatment care. The hospice gives cancer patients the opportunity to take part in arts, crafts and exercises, but perhaps more importantly, provides them with an environment where they can discuss their condition and provide a wonderful care network to support each other.
On June 20th this year, my mother, sister and niece will be taking part in a 5K walk back home in Gloucestershire to raise money for the hospice to support them in their work. As I am 200+ miles away up in East Yorkshire, I will be running the Walkington 10K on July 11th in aid of the Cotswold Care Hospice to support them in their invaluble work they provide for the community.
If you can, please support either myself or my Mum (http://www.justgiving.com/MaggieAndJohn-Sage) with what ever you can afford.
Many Thanks for your time.
Jackson
