I am running the Great North Run this year for our very own Great North Children's Hospital.  Fortunately I'm not in this alone and will have lots of support along the way.  I'll be running with family and friends and Fudge the Giraffe, our very own GNCH mascot, will also be running the course.

The GNCH is one of only 14 major children's medical centres in the UK and provides the full range of children's health services, all tailored to each and every child.  It provides 24 hour care for emergency admissions to ensure that children are seen as quickly as possible.

We not only provide services to the local population, we also provide treatment for children across the whole of the North of England as well as receiving patients from other hospitals, locally, nationally and from across the world.

So please, however little you give, it all will help go towards providing first class care for these very precious children.
