Story
Running on behalf of The Stroke Association.
Hello you lovely people!
As you may or may not be aware last year in our penultimate game of the season one of our players, Ian McCue fell ill during the game then later suffered a stroke in hospital. It was understandably a hard time for not only him but all his friends and family.
The good bit, Ian has since begin his recovery and is getting better and better each day that passes. He is now up and about including driving (Unelieveable Jeff!)
After speaking with Ian he has expressed how helpful they have been in his road to recovery and the constant support The Stroke Association have provided.
Instead of just sitting back and letting these people go about there day to day jobs we have decided to do this run, not only will it help shift the festive period pounds but it will also make a big difference to a charity i personally only knew exisited from when Ian had the stroke. The money we raise can go towards raising further awareness of the risks of strokes not only throughout sports but also throughout day to day tasks and work.
Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated, its really easy to do (just read the below) if you dont want to do it on here i have no quarms with meeting up with you for a drink to take your sponsorship.
Remember you have the easy bit did i mention Mr Acton will also be accompying me on this run? Just incase 10k isnt enough we thought each others company will see us through....I dont know where the logic was!
