Story
The Alzheimer's Society have organised a 26 mile circular route around Ullswater lake in June as a focal point to raise vital funds needed for research into treatment and to help support those affected with the disease, along with supporting their families through what is a very traumatic time.
I'm thrilled that, thanks to the kind donations of 16 people within the first week of this campaign, I hit the target of £300.
Now that we've exceeded it of course that's even more wonderful for the Alzheimer's society. Based on the training I've done so far, I anticipate that the 26 mile trek should take me around ten hours to complete, all being well, and I will update this page with my progress on the day.
On behalf of the Alzheimer's Society I would like to say thank you to everyone who chips in towards this fundraising goal and, in doing so, helps make a difference for those living with dementia.
