We all have friends or family affected by some form of cancer. I am very aware of how many people I care about that are or have been affected recently. Cancer Research carries out fantastic and vital research into all forms of cancer and needs every bit of funding it can get. I want to help make a difference, however small.
Therefore, I have set myself a tough challenge and need all my friends and family to rise to the challenge too and sponsor me. I am going to run a series of 12 races totalling over 150 miles, culminating in my first marathon next April. This will consist of 3- 10ks, 8 half marathons and to finish off, the Paris marathon. I won't be taking it easy - my aim is to complete the 10K races all in sub-40 minutes, the half marathons all sub 1hr 30 and the marathon less than 3 hours 30. My race programme is:
Ealing Half Marathon (25/9) Blenheim Palace Half Marathon (02/10) River Thames Half Marathon (30/10) Windsor Half Marathon (19/11) Mapledurham 10K (04/12) Muddy Welly 10K (18/12) Gut Buster 10K (31/12) Farnborough Half Marathon (22/01) Wokingham Half Marathon (12/02)
Thorpe Park half marathon (26/02)
Bath Half Marathon (12/03) PARIS MARATHON (09/04)
It's going to be tough. There are around 700 miles of running ahead of me including training, through the Winter. So don't hold back - please get sponsoring. Every penny helps!
