Finished the London Marathon on 22/04/2012 in 3 hours 46 minutes 54 seconds. A fantastic experience and massive thanks to all who have donated already. Read below to learn about the cause!

The British Limbless Ex Service Men's Association is a charity designed to aid those members of our armed forces who have entirely lost, or lost the use of, limbs or their eyesight whilst in service. They give rehabilitation, prosthetics, counselling and then lifelong welfare support to its members, who range from 19 right up to 99 years old.

In November 1989 my parents were the victims of an IRA car bomb in Colchester. Unfortunately my dad ended up losing both legs and two fingers on his right hand and so was left unemployable once he had left the Military Police. In the time since then and now he's not only been given extensive support by BLESMA, but also filled his time by getting involved in the administrative side of things by becoming a Branch Treasurer and an elected member of the Board of Trustees for the last 6 years.

I'm running the marathon for BLESMA because of the help that it has given my Dad and, in turn, my family. Whats more the marathon is on my birthday, so please donate generously, because noone wants to run 26 miles on their 20th!
