On the 2nd of October I’ll be running the London Marathon for Become. As the national charity for children in care and young care leavers, Become provide essential services and campaigning with and for young people in the care system; a cause that, as a teacher, is very close to my heart as I see the impact this can have on a child's mental health and life on a daily basis. C

are-experienced young people often have to take on much more responsibility at home than the average young person and often experience loneliness. Become provide these young people with a sense of community, help them to recognise their rights and entitlements and offer advice.
