We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

It is estimated 24 million people suffer from Alzheimer’s disease worldwide. 24 million. And this is set to double every 20 years.

Plaque forms on the brain, preventing us from remembering who we were, what we achieved and how we should behave. It steals you from yourself..

This disease isn't quick, it lingers, decays the mind and ruins the lives of not only the recipient, but those around them. This is what it inflicted on my grandad, a caring, intelligent, strong and kind individual. He never lost his ability to be kind and caring, even as the disease prevailed, but he withdrew into a child-like, confused state. Alzheimer’s disease stole 10 years from his marriage with my Grandmother Janet Little.

Yet, research into preventing this plaque forming is making significant headway.

Money you donate goes into research that could stop the suffering of 24+ million people and their families

My dad and I are completing the London To Brighton cycle to raise money for research into curing Alzheimer’s.
