Jack's Tough Mudder Challenge
Fundraising for Southend Taxi Drivers Charity Fund for Sick & Disabled Children
Fundraising for Southend Taxi Drivers Charity Fund for Sick & Disabled Children
There are five of us from the Laing O'Rourke Custom House team that are going to take on Tough Mudder on 3rd May 2015. With all of us living in Essex, we thought it would be a good idea to raise money for a local charity and one that we could really make a difference for. We decided on raising money for "The Taxi Driver Charity Fund for Children", who are a Southend based charity doing a lot of work with children in the area, all as further described on the following link:
www.taxicharityfund4kids.co.uk
We are hoping to raise at least £1000 as a collective and from conversations that we have had with the charity, this will go a long way. So all donations, no matter of the amount, will be much appreciated!
I'm sure most of you will have heard of 'Tough Mudder,' and for those of you that haven't, here's the link: https://toughmudder.co.uk/. It consists of a 12 mile run with various obstaces along the way! For those of you that know me well, this would not have been a problem 10 years ago when I was 14. Nowadays, it is going to be more of a problem, nevertheless, i'm sure as a team, we will all make it round!
With less than 3 weeks to go, I have a lot of training to cram in and all of the support that you can give will go a long way in motivating us to take on the challenge!
