Story

Hey friends and family,

I'm excited to announce that I will be taking part in the Great North Run this year to raise funds for Endometriosis UK, a charity that supports women with endometriosis. A couple of years back my sister was diagnosed with the condition which was a very traumatic experience for her and the rest of our family.

Endometriosis is a painful and chronic condition that affects millions of women worldwide. It causes tissue similar to the lining of the uterus to grow outside of it, leading to severe pain, heavy periods, infertility, and other symptoms. Unfortunately, many women still face difficulties in getting diagnosed and accessing the right treatment for their condition.

That's why I'm passionate about supporting Endometriosis UK in their efforts to fund research, provide information and support, and raise awareness about this condition. I'm hoping to raise £1,000 for this amazing cause and make a difference in the lives of those affected.

Some statistics:

  • It affects around 10% of women worldwide.
  • On average it takes 8-years from onset of symptoms to get a diagnosis.

As part of my fundraising efforts, I'll be running the Great North Run, a half marathon that will take place on Sunday 10th September 2023 in Newcastle. I'll be training hard to complete this challenge and would greatly appreciate your support in the form of a donation.

Your contribution, no matter how small, will help Endometriosis UK continue their work to support women with endometriosis and promote better education and understanding of this condition.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and support. Let's work together to make a difference and improve the lives of those living with endometriosis, including my sister.

Cheers, Jack 🙂
