Story
Hi Jack here, I've decided to cycle the whole of the South Downs Way (that's 100 miles!!) starting on Friday 12th August. I'm aiming to complete it in two days (three days if my Dad slows me down). This my is Air Ambulance Page. It's a great charity as it helps lots of people in the area, especialy as we are so close to the South Downs!
Update: Sunday 14 September 2011
I've achieved my challenge!
Completed in two days (total time taken was 21 hours to be exact and 103 miles covered)
Day One: started on Friday at 08:45 at the King Alfred statue in Winchester. Lots of ups with a few downs, good views, three punctures, me falling off on Amberley Mount and down to Washington was the end of day one, 57 miles completed.
Day Two: started 09:00 at Washington with a climb into the clouds at Chantonbury. Even bigger hills and better views. Beat my Dad up more hills today. Tired legs and saddle sore we had a welcome committee waiting for us at 19:30, when we crossed the finish line at Eastbourne pier. Was great fun, enjoyed all the way. Thanks to each an everyone of you for sponsoring me, supporting and helping me to raise over 300 GBP for two great charities. I have added some pics of our journey along the way. Thanks Jack
