Story
After joining the wonderful Fundraising Team at Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity, I have been so fortunate to meet incredible supporters who make such a difference to our sick kids in the hospital. While our supporters are going through their own personal challenges they still dedicate so much time to raising money for our hospital. I am always in awe of how much they do for us.
Our sick kids in the hospital are battling through every single day, they are all warriors and are so brave. Both our supporters and patients inspire me every single day. Because of this I have chosen to challenge myself! So, I’m going to jump out a plane on 7th April (yes, I am mad!!!!!).
I am so fortunate to be able to do this as a job. Being a fundraiser at Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity means that I get to see the impact our charity makes first hand. This could be by helping to fund a newly refurbished ward or playroom, a state-of-the-art piece of equipment, ground-breaking research, or even a toy for a child waking up with us at Christmas. Birmingham Children’s Hospital is a leading UK special paediatric centre that offers expert care to over 90,000 children every year and treats 1 in 5 children from Birmingham and 1 in 8 from the wider region.
I will be honest; I am scared to do this! Heights aren’t my friend, but I am so inspired to be brave just like the incredible people I get to meet every day. I would be so grateful for any donations, just £5 can make such a difference.
Thank you
Jay xx
