Story
Hello my lovelies :o)
As some of you may already know I am running the Edinburgh Half Marathon on Sunday 22nd May 2011 for Revive MS.
This is the first time in my life I have ever run for more than a bus, let alone go for 13 miles! I had planned on the full 26 but alas (bad luck?!) all spaces were taken....
In Scotland, Multiple Sclerosis affects 1 in 500 people - the highest prevalence in any country. Access to support & therapy services is crucial to many MS sufferers in helping to maintain a good quality of life.
Revive has a team of almost 30 professional staff and offers a wide range of therapies including physiotherapy, aromatherapy, reflexology, counselling, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, speech and language therapy (including swallowing and cognitive advice), chiropody, dietary advice and other specialist services and support groups, as well as information, advice and practical support. As well as serving the areas covered by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and NHS Lanarkshire, users travel from all parts of the West and Central Scotland to access the services at our MS Therapy Centre in Maryhill, Glasgow.
This is a charity that is very close to my heart and I am asking you all to give as much as you possibly can to such a worthwhile cause. Everything and anything counts, so pleeeeeeease collect your coppers and all coinage, unfold ALL those notes, flex those debit & credit cards......
