100 miles in a day:
My personal challenge will the 100+ miles we will need to cover on the first day to make sure we arrive in Cardiff at the right time to meet all the other cyclists from around the UK taking part in this year's event. I'll be 57 by September and this will be the furthest Ive ever cycled in one day.
So please encourage me to get good and ready by sponsoring me here or with your mobile by texting "JPUP90 £(amount)" to 70070
The Reason :
There are no “instant cures” or “magic bullet” drugs for these patients.
To reduce death and injury as a result of sepsis and septic shock there needs to be early recognition, speedy resuscitation and intensive treatment. Sadly, this does not always happen as the public and healthcare professionals frequently fail to recognise the early signs or appreciate the impact of untreated sepsis.
The UK Sepsis Trust is working at local and national level to engage the public, healthcare professionals and politicians in focusing upon improving the care of patients with sepsis and the support of their relatives.
Like any charity, the UK Sepsis Trust needs resources and funds to undertake its work.
Please help by sponsoring my ride to Wales.
Thank you
