We provide specialist care and support to people with life-shortening illnesses.

Story

For the past year , myself along with my immediate family have been living with the realisation that my dad hasnt long to live and experiencing first hand the traumatic effects and daily deteriation cancer causes.  When we realised that my dad might not make it for mine and my fiance- Lee's wedding day on the 17th March, we asked the St Catherine’s Family Support Team and nurses to help us arrange a blessing in the hospice’s chapel, and they organised it within hours.

It is every girls dream for their father to walk them down the aisle on their wedding day and it was mine and my dad’s wish-  so it meant the world to me that we could have the blessing  and hold his hand as he gave me away, even if he wasn’t well enough to physically walk with me.

It was such a special occasion for me and my family and those memories will stay with us all forever. The staff at St Catherine’s go above and beyond to help create such special memories like this and support families going through incredibly difficult times.

It’s a lovely place providing care and support to not just patients but families too but they rely on supporters like us to help raise millions of pounds every year just to keep going and continue providing the type of care which we have experienced.

I have set up this page as a way of fundraising for the cause, and hope you will back me in my pledge to play a small part in St Catherine’s Hospice’s ongoing fundraising efforts so they can be there for families like ours now and in the future.

Thank you.
