Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My sister and I are running a half marathon on Sunday 11th October 2009 for the Lily Foundation.

My best friend Terri and her husband Paul lost their little boy Liam on the 8th August 2008 aged 5 years old to Mitochondrial disease. It was a very very sad time for them, their families and their friends. We wanted to do something for Liam and the charity and decided on running, it was either that or a parachute jump, at this particularly point in time we wish we had opted for the parachute jump! We have never done anything like this before and we are finding the training very hard, but we are determined to complete the 13.2 miles. Hopefully with the support and generosity from you all will help us get round the course. We have a picture of Liam on our T-shirt to look at when the going gets tough which I am sure will help us.

We would be eternally grateful for any donation you can make - the more we raise the better.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it's the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Many thanks for your time and your donation.
