I have had the privilege of being involved with mitochondrial disease research for many years, and have recently witnessed first hand the extraordinary efforts and commitment of the team at the Lily Foundation (www.thelilyfoundation.org.uk) who work tirelessly to support families and individuals suffering from mitochondrial diseases.  It is a small charity that achieves great things, and I can think of no better cause to support.
