Story
CLIC stands for "Cancer and Leukaemia In Children". It merged with "Sargent Cancer Care for Children" in 2005 and is the only organisation to offer child patients care and support at every stage of their diagnosis and treatment, and beyond. Please see their website for full details.
We were brought together online as a group by our mutual support of Josie Gibson and John James Parton on BB11 (2010) (we are the oft-mocked "JJJ AT"). Some of us had heard of CLIC before Josie Gibson spoke about the charity on Big Brother 11 (2010) but many hadn't; Josie made people want to find out more and to give.
With our avid support of a (very special!) couple that got tgether on reality TV, you might think we're mad as a box of frogs. Nevertheless we have been brought together and become friends by believing in something special: love -- and the hope it brings. So many of us have made connections and friends that we might not otherwise have made; we have shared stories both happy and sad along the way, and supported one another far beyond the programme. We know we can be a force to be reckoned with when we believe in something, and now we'd like to turn that positivity and energy into something tangible -- we want to raise a shedload of money for a very deserving charity!
