Story

We are an energetic (some might say crazy!) bunch of 15 cyclists who are gearing up for the Maracycle 2012.  It is a 220 mile cycle from Belfast to Dublin and back to Belfast again and it is taking place on 23 and 24th June.

The reason we are doing this is to raise money for the Ulster Cancer Foundation in memory of the late John Connery.  The talented artist and brilliant family man sadly lost his battle with cancer last July.  John had planned to do a maracycle for UCF last summer with his son Michael but had to abandon his plan when he became too ill.  But Michael and John's nephew Andrew decided to take on the challenge in his memory.

There are now 15 of us in total dedicated to doing this cycle to remember and celebrate John's life.  We have set ourselves a fundraising target of £10,000 for the Ulster Cancer Foundation to help them continue their great work of supporting local people affected by cancer.

So please, please, dig deep and donate now and help us achieve our target!  We really appreciate all your support.

Thank you.
