Story
In Feb 2023 I'm heading off to the mountains of Poland for 6 days with Wim Hof no less! I'm going to work on building mental resilience by jumping in icy waters, frozen lakes and streams, ice baths and hiking up mountains in just shorts. Sound appealing? My training has started and I'm doing ice baths every day in my oak barrel outside.
It will be a challenge I know, but challenge is the provider of growth. I really want to use this as an opportunity not only to test myself, but to raise awareness of YAT and what they do.
The trip is self-funded of course, but please support me and YAT and enjoy watching my journey along the way.
Those who face the most adversity are least likely to have the resources needed to build resilience. 'The Youth Adventure Trust uses a combination of one to one support and outdoor adventure to empower vulnerable and disadvantaged young people to fulfil their potential and lead positive lives in the future. Their specially designed Programme, which spans 3 school years, is a genuinely life changing opportunity, giving 11-15 year olds the chance to build resilience, develop confidence and learn skills that will last a lifetime.
