Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi,

My name is Andrew Thorpe and I am a retired consultant cardiothoracic surgeon. Having undergone successful heart surgery 12- years ago, I want to give something back and support the BHF in funding invaluable research and to promote new cardiological and surgical treatments. As a keen walker and climber, I will be trekking from John O'Groats to Lands-End taking in 900m summits from Ben Hope the most northerly Munro ,Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, Snowdon and on to the highest point in Cornwall-Brown Willy. I will be commencing the trek on April 3rd 2018 . I would like to thank you in advance for your interest and donation and please visit my Facebook page "Thorpes Solo 20-Summits Challenge" for regular updates of the trip.
