Story

On the morning of November 17th 2018 I went into labour with my first child after a normal and healthy pregnancy. An undetected infection, unidentified breech position and a series of other unfortunate complications led to Iver being born several hours later very very unwell. In fact right at the end of labour Iver's heart stopped beating all together, the wonderful neonatal staff and midwives worked tirelessly resuscitating Iver and after 28 minutes were able to get his heart beating again. Unfortunately over the next day Iver was just too unwell and on the 18th November, almost exactly 24 hours later Wil and I had our first and final cuddle with our beautiful baby boy as he peacefully passed away in our arms.

I don't want anyone to ever have to go through what Iver, Wil and I went through. Iver was a perfect baby boy and his death could have been avoided. But sadly 1 in 4 pregnancies end in loss whether that be through miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death, some avoidable and some not. Through raising money by donating a portion from each sale of designs from my La Lune Jewellery collection to Tommy's The Baby Charity I hope to help fund research and progression in areas in care that will eventually prevent this happening again.
