Story
I liken my ME body to my first car, a second hand 1960's Ford Escort. When trying to get her started in the morning, the engine would flood, the electrics would short circuit and the battery would discharge. Nearly two years on, I am working up to being that Porsche. I have got a long way to go but am well on the way. It is a statement of fact. Having ME completely changes your life but there is life with ME. Stay positive, keep to the rest and activity schedules, keep the pacing going, persevere with the graded exercise therapy, accept the set backs and the dark days, celebrate the good days and many successes. Eventually you will reach your goal. There is life with ME... and there is life for me too.
Well we did it despite the bad weather. My time of 36 minutes 35 seconds is a personal worse for me but just as rewarding as my fastest time. Keep the donations coming in, not for me but for the many ME sufferers who are housebound, bedbound and who are unable to see spring bursting into life - things that most of us just take for granted. Thank you.
