*السلام عليكم ورحمت الله و بركاته*

إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ

With a heavy heart, we would like to mention that by the grace of The Almighty, Allah (ﷻ) has invited our beloved father, Al-Hajj Ismail Ali Chowdhury back to Him. May Allah (ﷻ) forgive him & make his grave a garden from the gardens of paradise. May Allah (ﷻ) grant him the highest place in Jannah, accept all his efforts & may Allah (ﷻ) grant Sabr e Jameel to all of us family and friends.

Our Father, Grandfather and Husband was no less than an amazing person; he was an honest, humble and caring individual who sourced much of his happiness from the happiness of others. He was, and always will be, loved by his Family, his Friends and his local community - to many, he was an individual who helped when they were in need and it was this kindness, care and wisdom which made him such an admirable character. Writing this alongside my aunt, as his grandson, I can confidently say that he was the greatest man I had ever known, and many, including those from the Cardiff, London, Fenchuganj, and Nurpor (Bangladesh) communities, would attest to this. May Allah (ﷻ) grant him Jannatul Firdaus and provide him nothing but an easy reckoning on Yamul Qiyamah.

According to Sahih Muslim, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said "When a person dies, his deeds come to an end, except for three: on-going charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him.”

It is for this reason why we will be raising funds for building water wells Insha'Allah, as this will provide benefits and blessings for less fortunate individuals around the world. As his Family, we are confident that due to his selfless, generous and charitable personality, this is what our Father, Grandfather and Husband would have wanted. May Allah (ﷻ) accept this from us as a form of Sadaqah Jariyah on behalf of him.

Keeping this Hadith in mind, we would also like to ask you to continue to carry out good deeds and actions that were motivated by any knowledge that our Father, Grandfather and Husband may have shared with you. We would also like to remind you to forgive him for any of his shortcomings, and keep his name in your thoughts and duas insha'Allah.

According to Sahih Muslim, it is reported that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that "Charity does not decrease wealth", and with this in mind, we would like to remind everyone that, if possible, to please donate generously insha'Allah. Jazakallah Khair.
