Project Riandu aims to build a fully-equipped secondary school for deaf children in the town of Riandu, Kenya. There are currently 71 primary schools for deaf children, but only 5 specialist secondary schools. Along with a group of volunteers, I will be going to help with the 1st stage of the project, to begin the building process which in the end will serve 200 children. 

It will be tough work as we will be working about 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for 4 weeks, but I believe it will have such a lasting impact in the community. This will be such a great resource and will enable young peolpe with an access to this level of education that they otherwise would not have. 

The money raised will be going directly towards equipment for the school as opposed to paying for my flights or accommodation. So do give generously!
