Thank you to everyone who has donated so far we are very appreciative.  With off line donations we smashed our initial target of £300 and have also now exceeded our raised target of £400, currently our total stands at £428.93.  

This donation page will expire on 31st March, when we will also be doing the draw for the fabulous prizes from Delia at The Art Gallery in Scarborough and from Jennie at Temple Spa.

If you've attended any of our events in the week of International Women's Day 2021 and have found them enjoyable, informative and useful then we would love you to make a donation as a way of showing gratitude to Inspiring Women and support to women who really need it right now.

We are raising funds for EVA Women's Aid, which is a women only organisation, independent of the criminal justice system, staturory agencies and other private companies. They are both Women's Aid and rape support centres providing a range of free, confidential and noon-judgemental specialist support services for women and children who have been affected by any form of domestic abuse and/or sexual violence at any time in their lives. https://evawomensaid.org.uk/  

We are asking for donations in exchange for tickets to our online draw which will be drawn on 31st March and we have two fabulous gifts donated by Delia Prudence at the Art Room and Jennie-Marie Glover from Temple Spa.  We are suggesting donations of minimum £2 per lucky number for this draw.  Please make your donation, with your name shown and contact inspiringwomenkelly@gmail.com to claim your number/s.

We are also hosting an Inspiring Women's quiz on Friday 12th March and asking for an entry donation of just £2 per person.  This is a fun quiz, no prizes apart from the prize of socialising with other Inspiring Women, and hopefully some Inspiring Men too.

We would of course also appreciate any donations you would like to make to EVA Women's Aid in exchange for the opportunity to attend any and all of our on-line events.  However, these events are free and there is no obligation to donate.  Please just give what you can afford, if you are able to.

And here's a bit more about IWD 2021

The theme for IWD 2021 is #choosetochallenge and whilst this is about choosing to challenge to help create an inclusive world, I am sure you will agree that there is a parallel line running alongside this, as everyone, regardless of gender, creed, colour or beliefs have been challenged so much in the past year, with Covid-19 affecting our lives so much, and there was no choice in this.  Although we can’t control the situation right now we can all choose how we respond to the pandemic and the outfall from it.

The IWD #choosetochallenge theme reminds us that a challenged world is an alert world.  And individually, we're all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day.  Parallel lines come to mind again.

We can choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequity!

We can choose to seek out and celebrate women's achievements!

Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world!

From challenge comes change, so let's all choose to challenge!

Sadly because of the situation we find ourselves in right now we aren’t able to replicate the fantastic IWD events that we ran in 2019 and 2020, however, we do still want to keep some momentum going and share and celebrate with all of you.  So we have some exciting things coming up during March and in particular on the day itself Monday 8th March 2021 and for that full week  www.inspiringwomen.space
