My husband Jasper King received excellent and compassionate care from the Marie Curie Hospice staff in Edinburgh during the last months and days of his life. 

He was a beautiful soul and a kind and gentle family man.  A shining light; a one in a million husband, a best friend, a harry handsome disco dancer, a man of steel, and a world traveller. Juggler and balancer extraordinaire, he was also a clown and a talented musician; Jasper Chipolata.

He was a loving son and step son, brother and step brother, and a brilliant step dad.

Jasper was an avid Liverpool supporter and crazy about golf,  competitive and talented at most things, excepting push bikes, horses and DIY.  He was one of a kind, missed by so many, and always in my heart. 

We are just at the very beginning of thinking of ideas on how to fund raise in Jaspers memory. He received amazing care at Marie Curie in Edinburgh. However, the charity is stretched to maximum and at times a bed simply wasn't available for him. I believe that excellent and compassionate 'end of life care' should be available to all, whenever it is needed. It should not be down to charities to provide this vital service, but sadly, at present, it is.

We (myself and Lindsey Black) will be playing a gig at 'SOUNDHOUSE at the Traverse Theatre' in Edinburgh on Monday 29th November, 2016. A large percentage of the proceeds, raised on the door take, will come to this page.
