Story
In memory of Esther Margaret Davies, a much loved wife, mother and grandmother who passed away on the 31st of December 2020. Esther was born in Taunton, Somerset on the 10th of August 1932. . She went on to care for others through her teaching and work for the Scripture Union who she later wrote for and supported throughout her life.
She married Paul and supported him though his ministry including missionary work in Kenya. Their daughter Rachel benefitted enormously from the love and care Esther showed her and their relationship was always close. She was very proud of Rachel's achievements in education and of her two grandsons George and Sebastian who she saw grow into lovely young men.
She had a wide circle of friends and the enormous number of cards received by Paul and Rachel demonstrated the quiet but significant impression she made on other peoples lives. Thoughtful, kind and caring are just a few of the words expressed in the condolences.
Obviously, Covid regulations mean that very few of the many who might have wanted to attend her funeral could do, so we wanted provide away that anyone who may have done could donate a cause close to her heart in memory of her-The Scripture Union
Rest in the peace of The Lord, Esther, Mummy & Grandma.
