Story
Hello all.
We are raising money in memory of our dear Mum Trisha who sadly passed away on February 7th after a short battle from Cholangiocarcinoma in hospital. She was the heart of our family and there is a huge loss with her gone.
My mum was a hairdresser in the West end of Glasgow for most of her life and got to know so many people in her career, she lived for her family and her work, her two passions. Those who knew her were affected by her kind heart and generosity.
Myself, Roslyn and a few family members have signed up for Glasgow's Kilt Walk on April 30th 2023. It is 23 Miles from Glasgow to Balloch. And we are hoping for your support by donating and sharing our page.
We have found a small charity AMMF who help raise awareness for Cholangiocarcinoma - BILE DUCT CANCER. A cancer that is extremely difficult to detect. Normally by the time you start to show any symptoms, it is unfortunately nearly always too late for a good outcome. This is a silent killer and is VERY RARE. About 1000 new cases each year in the UK.
Symptoms are :-
* Jaundice - your skin and the whites of your eyes turn yellow
* Itchy skin
* Darker urine and paler stools
* loss of appetite
* feeling tired or having no energy
* a high temperature, or you feel hot or shivery
* Unexpected weight-loss
* Pain in your abdomen (mums felt like gallbladder attack pain)
Please help us by sharing and donating.
Much Love, Rachael & Roslyn x
