Story
On average 30 people a day are diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, a neurological disorder that leads to the reduction of dopamine in the brain. This in turn can cause a variety of physical and psychological symptoms, the most prevalent symptoms being tremors, slowed movement, and stiff muscles.
So far, the University of Dundee has made significant progress in understanding the function and mutation of the gene linked to genetically inherited Parkinson's disease.
Your donation will help the university find knowledgeable and curious researchers, fund research programmes, and purchase new equipment with the goal of discovering and developing a new treatment.
