I have been working for Imran Khan Cancer Appeal (IKCA) for 17 years and on my last visit to the hospital I met up with a father who had his 4 year old son with him. I asked the father if any of his relatives were admitted at the hospital but he pointed to his 4 year old son who fell ill a year ago. He took him everywhere but no one could help. In the end he decided to bring his child to Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital where he was accepted for free treatment.

The father said ‘it’s been one year and I’m here for only a follow up, alhamdulillah my son is a lot better now. May Allah increase Shaukat Khanum Hospitals ability to support tenfold.'

There are many similar stories like the above each year so I have decided to sponsor a patient by taking the mighty Everest Base Camp Challenge, I hope you can support/sponsor me for this Zakat applicable deed.
