My Names Iestyn and I'm raising money for the South Wales MS Therapy Centre

The centre provides a much needed service and support for the sufferers and their families of this terrible disease. The centre which costs approximately £50,000 each year to run and does not receive any statutory funding, it has to raise this money through fund raising and rely on grants given by trusts and organisations. This charity is close to home as my wife suffers from the disease and we have experienced first hand how terrible and life changing it can be.  The centre does fantastic work but they struggle financially to purchase new equipment and meet their costs to keep the centre running. 

 

To raise money for the centre I have challenged experienced competitor Mike Griffiths who is well known on the triathlon circuit as Batman (fancy dress) to a series of Charity race dressed as the MS Gladiator.  The races are:

 

London triathlon 1500m swim / 40k bike / 10km run

 

Gower Peninsula Triathlon  750m swim / 20k bike / 5km run

 

Erieman Triathlon  1900m swim / 90km bike / 21km run

 

Mike is an experienced Triathlete and I’ve only done one race................................ but I’m optimistic!
