Story
As many of you know, my daughter Jasmin was born with a facial CMN (an abbreviation of Congenital Melanocytic Naevus, a type of birthmark that may appear in newborn babies), and she has undergone many operations at the fabulous Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) to have it removed. As a result, I became involved with a CMN support charity (www.caringmattersnow.co.uk) and more recently joined the Board of Trustees. The charity has 3 main aims: 1) To support those families affected by CMN, 2) To raise awareness about CMN, and 3) To raise funds for CMN research. I am very proud to be associated with this charity which has, to date, raised over £230,000 to fund clinical research into CMN at GOSH.
