Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. After running one leg of a Marathon Relay and two individual half-marathons in the last 3 years, I have decided that I should step up to the mark and run my first (and only!) Marathon before I get too old to pull on my trainers. 'Why Manchester?', you may ask. I could tell you that I wanted a change from the Edinburgh scenery, but the truth is that, without thinking, we arranged to go to Mallorca for 10 days at the end of May 2016, so we will be out of the country at the time of the Edinburgh Marathon Festival. The Greater Manchester Marathon is described as flat and fast, hopefully in my favour as a novice!

As always I would value your support. As this will be my running swan-song, I have set the fund-raising bar higher than before, but I know that my friends and colleagues will rise to the challenge. After all, donating a few pounds is still easier than running 26.2 miles! Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
