Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Many of you will remember that I lost my dad to Cancer just after Christmas last year. Those of you that have known me longer will remember I also lost my mum to Cancer in 2006. Shortly after dad died, Greg, Rob and I agreed we wanted to do something as a tribute to their memory. Throughout our teenage years we were all pretty sporty, Greg and I were swimmers and Rob a rugby player. Dad gave up all his mornings to get Greg and I to training (usually at 6am) and he and mum spent their weekends driving us around the country to various swimming galas and rugby matches, cheering us on all the while. It seemed right to us to do something sporting as our tribute which is why we chose the Great South Run. Unfortunately Rob has had an operation on a dislocated shoulder recently (ironicaly an old sports injury) so can't run with us but will be there in spirit.
Please give generously to Cancer Research UK. This is a terrible disease. With your support they will be able to find a cure.
Thank you
