Story

Part 4 out of 5 coming up.  The challenge is now to complete the original 5 world marathon majors in a faster time than the previous one.  So London, New York and Chicago completed with Boston Boston MA (April 15th) and Berlin (Sept 29th) to complete the set.

Chicago marathon was safely completed, although a little painfull for a certain individual, so now onto the next challenge.  In under 3 weeks we pound the streets again for the world famous Boston marathon.

The marathon has c27,000 entrants, of which c23,000 have QUALIFIED with a previous marathon finish time of under 3.15 for men and 3.50 for women.  Ian is normally still at the first food station after that long!

Margarets previous best time is 4.19 with Ian's being a miserable 4.43 so we are going to be a long way behind with the crowds all heading off to the pub to celebrate Patriots Day (Better leave the Union Jacks at home this time or we could be shot).

The Boston marathon course is renown for its range of hills between 16 miles and 21 miles, with the infamous Heartbreak Hill the biggest at 20 miles. Just what you dont want when you're in the hardest part of the run.

So we are putting ourselves again through the pain of training and the 26.2 mile course for you all to have a good reason to kindly donate your hard earned cash.

So any donation you could make would genuinely be received and help towards research into finding a cure for a truly horrible illness.

Many thanks

Ian & Margaret
