Story
Last year I made a batch of chilli jelly which was as hot as anyone had ever tasted, whilst still being relatively palatable, and many people liked it with cheese, combined with various ingredients as a sandwich filling, stirred into curry or chilli dishes, spread on toast or smeared on a Border Terrier.... although he was later arrested and banned from Crofts for 4 years asking for 2 additional offences to be taken into account, one pertaining to an incident with a Bouvier Des Flandres and a jug of Creme Anglaise and another involving a Jack Russell and a small bowl of capers.
Anyway, I gave it away to unsuspecting folk last year but thought I would ask for a donation to the British Heart Foundation this year for those who want to try this year's batch, as I had some pipework moved around a year or so ago in Walsgrave Hospital and have been very pleased with the results to date.
If anything the jelly is a little hotter this year as the chilli kick comes entirely from my home grown Carolina Reapers, a piquant little critter currently topping the Scoville charts and making up about 8% of the ingredients. This is added to Bramley Apples, Aspalls Cider Vinegar, Sugar and Lemon Juice to make a warming condiment.
I have approximately 75 x 190 ml jars available and would like a minimum contribution of £3 including Postage and Packaging.
The perfect gift for Chilli lovers, masochists or people that don't really like spicy things and you're not that keen on.
Thanks for dragging yourself through that drivel.
