Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am raising miney for The Pembroke Unit Fund.
The Pembroke Unit at Salisbury District Hospital is the specialist treatment centre for people with cancer and blood diseases from across south Wiltshire, north and east Dorset and west Hampshire. The Pembroke Unit incorporates the Pembroke Suite (outpatients) and the Pembroke Ward (inpatients).
In March 2012 my beautiful wife, Sarah, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Following surgery she started chemotherapy on the Pembroke Unit at Salisbury District Hospital. All of the staff were amazing. Always cheerful, friendly and caring. They made what was a difficult time easier.
After talking to other ladies receiving treatment in other hospitals across the country Sarah and I realised that the facilities on the unit are really special. We would like to give back a little and raise some money for the Pembroke Unit Fund and so on Sunday 9th June 2013 I will be cycling 102 miles from Bournemouth. This time last year Sarah has just received her second dose of chemo.
Please take time to donate. It all mounts up.
Thank you, Ian.
