Story
Dear Aquaintances, Colleagues, Family and Friends,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have entered the RideUK24 Newcastle to London cycling event which will be held on Sat 24 August 2013. I'm doing it as a personal challenge and whilst it does not rate with Sir Ranulph Fiennes' exploits, at 300 miles in 24hr it's a bit more than a walk in the park or shaving off a beard. For this reason I wonder if it may inspire you to make a donation to the Circulation Foundation.
I think I can complete this challenge and I have the following results so far this year-:
Drumlanrig Tearfund Challenge, 100 miles, 6hr 48min = 14.8mph
Solway Sportive, 76 miles, 4hr 21min = 17.9mph
Your financial support for The Circulation Foundation would, of course add an extra imperative to complete the task so it would be wonderful if you could help in this way.
The Circulation Foundation is a charity devoted to supporting research into diseases of arteries and veins. Arterial disease causes death or limb loss in tens of thousands of men and women every year in the UK so your contribution will be used in a very good cause. I have a particular interest in the Foundation since treating patients with arterial disease forms the biggest part of my day-to-day work. You can find much more information about the Circulation Foundation on their website, www.circulationfoundation.org.uk.
